Ward’s final work was the acclaimed wordless novel The Silver Pony Gil’s Book Loft Published: Read, highlight, and take notes, godw web, tablet, and phone. I know Lynd Ward’s work stands alone and does so well but the way they complement each other is goss exploring if you’re interested. Flat out amazing, from an art standpoint–gorgeous woodcuts. A poor artist signs a contract with a masked stranger, who gives him a magic brush, with which the artist rapidly rises in the art world.

I flipped through it, marveled at the absurd intricacies and craftmanship of the woodblock prints, and just kind of I went back and flipped through it a copule more times enjoying some of the subtleties of the characters expressions. And so he runs away to the mountains to build a more simple, happy life complete with loving wife and child.
Slight red discoloration to cover. This book has such beautiful graphics that many stories can be imagined after looking closely at each page. Though it is my first attempt at his work, Dard am in love with Lynd Ward’s style. His Expressionist prints have strong Art Deco elements, with an obvious German influence, as well.

Well worth checking out for the beauty of the woodcuts alone. German Expressionism is manifested in these sketches woodcutswhich are so good to look at.
Hard cover, 4th printing. The story begins with a young man lost at sea, but then godz the clouds part to reveal the glorious sun.
A Wordless Novel – Gods’ Man
It shows you how in the beginning he was a nobody, but yet a man with a talent for drawing. The story here is pretty simple, and a familiar one, and the pace is fast it probably only took me 20 min but it was worthwhile and has some really great little woodcuts in it. mam

The story is melodramatic, the ending predictable, the main character’s motivation ultimately obscure, ironically because there is no way for the format to communicate in a manner less obvious.
