It will do well as both an introductory level material as well as a handy reference book on Christian Apologetics. I’m a Christian, so I read works on apologetics to strengthen my faith not in search of a conversion experience. Details the full breadth of Christian Apologetics. At first I was excited about this book, as well as any other book that falls in the genre of “Christian apologetics”.
Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to be honest with themselves about whether or not Christianity is true and what the implications of that truth would be. Thanks for telling us about the problem.
I started out reading this book like a normal book and made it about halfway through doing that. I had to read this for my philosophy class this kreft. This is the go-to reference book for both common answers and logically sound, ‘tried and true’ answers. I find it an excellent read, and amongst the sections that stood out for me was this from the chapter on “The Bible: May 21, Suresh Anand rated it it was amazing.
Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates reason and seeks truth. In sum, this is an amazing book that deserves close attention for the thoughtful Christian humanist.
It tells you everything you need to know without being unnecessarily pretentious. Jun 29, Jessica Gorzo rated it did not like it. Be prepared to spend some time with it. It is an excellent compilation of the main topics of Christian apologetics. A popular lecturer, he has also taught at many other colleges, seminaries and educational institutions in the eastern United States.
And in this book there are a ton of arguments, some strong and some weak; but the authors admit that and do a good job showing how a cumulative case for Christianity is well supported with a flood of evidence that isn’t found in too many books. Kreeft is an excellent scholar for the layman. Book was an assigned reading for Classical Apologetics class. However I realized that it was just a bit to heavy reading to continue that process, especially since it isn’t a normal read. Catholics, people studying apologetics.

I hqndbook through this book and found the “apologetics” argument in it to be apollogetics childish in reasoning and all along they still don’t know how an atheist mind is really wired.
