Experiment by starting with a speaker toe-in of about degrees and adjust for best results. With the circuit you also lose a little of the speakers sensitivity, which could be an issue with low power amps.
To achieve this I used a cheap paint-roller and after going once around the box with a white undercoating paint, I went around three more times with a semi-dry roller to really tease-up that stipple finish.
