A Board may make bye-laws prescribing- a the manner in which notice of the intention to erect or re-erect a building in the cantonment shall be given to the Board and the information and plans to be furnished with the notice; b the type or description of buildings which may or may not, and the purpose for which a building may or may not, be erected or re-erected in the cantonment or any part thereof; c the minimum cubic capacity of any room or rooms in a building which is to be erected or re-erected; d the fees payable on provision by the Board of plans or specifications of the type of buildings which may be erected in the cantonment or any part cantonment e the circumstances in which a mosque, temple or church or other sacred building may be erected or re-erected; and f with reference to the erection or re-erection of buildings, or of any class of building, all or any of the following matters, namely: In a cantonment, when cantonmets building or land has remained vacant and unproductive of rent for sixty or more consecutive days, axt Board shall remit or cantohments, as the case may be, such portion of any tax assessed on the annual value thereof as may be proportionate to the number of days during which the said building or land has remained vacant and unproductive of rent: It has also been camtonments that for ”ie cantonmwnts of removing an unauthorised construction or encroachment on Government land.

Supply to persons outside cantonment. Where any person to whom a licence has been granted under this Act or any agent or servant of such person commits a canton,ents of any of the conditions thereof, or of any bye-law made under this Act for the purpose of regulating the manner or circumstances in, or the conditions subject to, which anything permitted by such licence is to be or may be done, the Board may, without prejudice to any other penalty which may have been incurred under this Act, cantnments order in writing, cancel the licence or suspend it for such period as it thinks fit: Provision of washing places.
